Meredith Hawkins is originally from Westport, Connecticut and came to Arizona in 1996 to pursue a B.A. from the University of Arizona. She continued her education and received her Master’s in Social Work from Arizona State University.
Meredith has been in the social work field since 2000. She worked as a supervisor for the Group Home, A&A Cottages to girls in Foster Care, managing a staff and in charge of the care of the girls in the home. She then went onto work in the Mental Health field as a Clinical Liason and Manager at Value Options, managing a team of staff members and overseeing the care of over 400 SMI clients. She received her LCSW from the State of Arizona and worked as a Child and Family Therapist for Foster Families Arizona’s Children Association.
In March 2012, Meredith Hawkins founded GIVE: Girls who Inspire, Volunteer and Empower. GIVE is a women’s volunteer group, made up of women looking to give back in the Phoenix community. GIVE has helped touch hundreds of lives in the Phoenix area.
Meredith raises her son, Brayden in the Chandler area.
Meredith enjoys bringing people together and always is looking for ways to help and empower others.
